I’m an educator and writer currently based in Western North Carolina where I teach World History to 10th Graders at Asheville School. If I’m not outside, I’m inside, but hopefully less. I graduated from Davidson in 2017 with an English degree before teaching a bit in Indiana and then in Jordan where I learned some Arabic and worked with middle schoolers.
I want to hold power accountable to its hypocrisy, to its failures. I can do this in the classroom by critically educating, creating consensus-driven spaces, or I can do it in newspapers, calling out abuse in an ever-democratizing fashion.
I’ve written for EdSurge in the past, and I write endlessly on my own time. I’m delightful in email conversations. My pronouns are he/him.
